Putnam Valley Market, Putnam Valley
What Makes It "Strong": This combo mini-mart, delicatessen, and brick-oven pizza joint uses J.B. Marshall premium coffees with tempting flavors such as “Snickerdoodle” (after the rich sugar-cinnamon cookie) and, need we say more, Chocolate-Caramel.
The family-owned business was opened in 1988 by three brothers, Nino, Domenico and Hector Santucci, and is now a destination point in Putnam Valley. Located a few minutes down the road from the Tompkins Corners Cultural Center, it is the spot to stop for a sammie, slice or cup of Joe to go. A focal point for the sparsely populated community, the market has catered events for local schools, camps, birthday parties and even weddings.
